What is WELCA? WELCA is...
We are all the women of Calvary,
we are all ages,
whether circle member or not,
if Calvary is your home...
WELCA is YOU!
WELCA is the women's organization of the ELCA, and includes over 500,000 participants. The Calvary unit is our local expression of the larger orgainzation.
There are three main mission areas of the WELCA: Community, Growth, and Action.
Through community, each woman learns to value herself and others as created in God's image and redeemed in Christ.
Through growth, each woman is strengthened, developed, and equipped in a variety of learning experiences.
Through action, each woman articulates and acts upon her faith as a disciple.
Each month the Calvary WELCA Newsletter is published as part of the Proclamation church newsletter. If you would like to see more about current missions, check out the latest issue.
