Breakfast with Our Neighbors — On the second and fourth Saturday of every month, we servebreakfast in for our neighbors in and around Morganton from 7:00 – 9:00 a.m. in the New Fellowship Hall. This ministry is growing which reflects a real need in our community. We can use your support in this ministry with food donations (watch the bulletin for specifics) or with your time. We welcome cooks, dishwashers, and “greeters.” Come join us and meet some new friends!
Backpack Ministry — Backpacks filled with food for the weekend are distributed through school counselors to families in need at a local elementary school, who may otherwise go hungry without school-provided meals. Backpacks are distributed throughout the school year, and special food distributions are made periodically during the summer months.
Care Visitors and Prayers Shawls — When members can not attend church due to significant illness or being homebound, other members will visit them on a monthly basis as Care Visitors. These visits are in addition to pastoral care visits made by the pastors. We also have a wonderful team of knitters who pray over shawls as they knit them and then send them to wrap around those hurting to be a reminder that they are loved and that people are praying for them.
Youth Serve —Our youth are invited to serve in all of our above programs, but they also have their own budget to do special projects throughout the year. See the Youth Page for more info!
