Backpacks filled with food for the weekend are distributed through school counselors to families in need at a local elementary school, who may otherwise go hungry without school-provided meals. Backpacks are distributed throughout the school year, and special food distributions are made periodically during the summer months.
When members can not attend church due to significant illness or being homebound, other members will visit them on a monthly basis as Care Visitors. These visits are in addition to pastoral care visits made by the pastors. We also have a wonderful team of knitters who pray over shawls as they knit them and then send them to wrap around those hurting to be a reminder that they are loved and that people are praying for them.
