Special Services Throughout The Year

Lent — Throughout the season of Lent, leading up to Holy Week and Easter, we gather as a community for dinner (5:30pm) and worship (6:30pm) on Wednesday evenings.

Holy Week and Easter - We have several services during holy week at 7:00pm (Holy Tuesday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday) leading to the resurrection of our Lord and Savior on Easter Sunday. (Festival Worship at 10:00am on Easter)

Outdoor Worship – Each fall we gather outdoors for a special worship service in the midst of God’s creation at Catawba Meadows Park. After worship we spend time eating a picnic lunch together and engaging in fun and fellowship. This date usually happens in September so be sure to check our church calendar.

Blessing of the Animals — Each year, we hold a special outdoor service where all of our special pet friends receive prayers and a blessing. The service is typically near October 4th, the Commemoration of St. Francis.

Reformation – The last Sunday of October is Reformation Sunday, which commemorates the reformation of the Christian Church led by Martin Luther in the 16th century. On this Sunday we have service at 10:00am where we celebrate New Members and Confirmands. After worship we share a meal together in Fellowship Hall with a Potluck luncheon.

All Saints Sunday — The first Sunday in November is All Saints Sunday, when we remember our loved ones who have died since the last All Saint’s Sunday, and give thanks for the whole church triumphant.

Christmas Eve, December 24th — We come together on this special night at 7:00pm for special music, followed by our Candlelight worship service at 7:30pm.
